H is for Hope - (meditation by Dawn)

there is a future,

One week ago, a little girl named Shelby had a severe asthma attack and went for 20+ minutes without oxygen. She is currently in a coma and having seizures. Her parents were told that she has severe brain damage.
Yesterday, on Easter, the family was told a little good news. The part of the brain that makes Shelby who she is, is not damaged. She will have a long road to recovery, but their little girl is still there.
This little bit of hope was what they needed.
Ever have a time when all you needed was just a little hope? How did God respond?

Without hope we are pretty much immobilized. I'm trying to visit all the A-Z Challenge blogs this month.

DeleteThat's for sure. Good luck getting to all the blogs!
Hope is certainly something that all writers (and all people) need to have.
ReplyDeleteGreat A-Z post!

Did you see the Monday morning update on Shelby? More good news!!!
ReplyDeleteFrom Jon Mundock:
The neurologists were in this morning to check on Shelby girl. 1st bit of good news is that Shelby now has reflexes in BOTH of her upper extremeties, not just 1 side!
2nd...the respirator is set to take 7 breaths for her per minute...Any number higher than that represents breaths that she is taking on her own...Well the monitor has been showing anywhere from 10-14 breaths per minute, so my baby is breathing...not as much as she will need to but this is a fantastic sign!!!
PRAISE JESUS AND PRAISE GOD!!!
Such good news about Shelby!! We have been praying, and this weekend was one of miracles! Praise the Lord!
